Wedding stationery

Rong loves love and does custom wedding designs on request. What sets her work apart is her impeccable attention to detail when telling your story through her images.

Xin & Dan

Xin and Dan live in Perth, Australia. Their wedding crest was inspired by Ingrid Michaelson’s song You and I, with a nod to Alice in Wonderland, which is how they feel about life together everyday — a fairytale.

Xin is not only a doctor but a professional dancer, and her love of dance began with ballet, and so a little easter egg was added (take a peek at her little rabbit feet). Wild flowers adorn the edges of the scroll in celebration of their union — overflowing and and bountiful - and across the various materials produced for their wedding: invitations, guest book, wishing well sign, stickers, and order of service.

We were looking online for invitations and stationery, but whilst aesthetic, they were very generic. Rong is a brilliant, versatile artist who was able to make something really unique and characteristic of us. She took into account many other factors in the wedding planning, such as floral themes and wedding inspo, whilst designing our invites. She's intuitive, able to get a feel for who we are, and tailor her art to reflect that. She worked quickly to get things done and was flexible about how last minute we were with our wedding plans. She went over and beyond to make us customised labels for our guestbook, cards and well wishes box and wedding favours, so our entire wedding's decor was seamlessly coherent. We really appreciate her work and work ethic so much!

Antonia & Dezmond

Toni is a free spirit and Dez is her kindred. As avid adventurers and divers, the ocean holds much significance and importance to the couple, and so it was only natural for the invitations to be a sea of twinkling stars.

The couple saw a school of manta rays while scuba diving and this enchanting, breathless experience led to the casting of wedding mascots. Manta rays cannot be kept in captivity, and this understanding formed the phrase “With you my heart is free”. Wooden carved manta rays were painted with galaxies and fixed with magnets, allowing for free orientation and movement on a custom acrylic board made for the reception.

“Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine our wedding invitations would be so beautiful... Rong knew from the very beginning that we wanted something related to the ocean, and she worked with us every step of the way to make sure we were happy with her vision and progress. From concept to artwork, final printing and execution, all the details are impeccable and of world-class sophistication. All my guests were absolutely surprised and blown away by the beauty of the invitations! Rong is so truly talented and you will not be disappointed! <3 Thank you, Rong!”

Cynthia & Benjamin

Brought together by church and kept together by their love of nature and food, Cyn and Ben are an elegant couple by any measure. As follows, a classic approach of names in script was taken, put front and center, and printed in gold foil. Sprawled across the rest of the invitation is a hand-painted green olive branch, chosen for its multi-level symbolism — firstly spiritual, where the olive is a picture of Christ’s love, secondly, an appreciation of nature, and finally, nutrition and deliciousness.

Supporting cards bore variations of the painted olive branches, and a custom wax seal gave the envelope a touch of regality, befitting of the occasion.

Working with Rong was such a joy and such an easy journey! We shared some sample photos of the style we had in mind and our colour theme, and Rong completely overdelivered! We did not have to articulate much - she knew what we were looking for. Her work was love at first sight and we were so pleased with it! From the intricate details of the beautiful hand painted design to the font choices and how it all came together, we received so many compliments from our guests many of whom said these were the most beautiful invitations they have ever received! We highly recommend her and work – she is creative, talented and fun and her style is versatile, unique and tasteful. Thank you so much Rong!!

Sue & ram

Sue and Ram knew from the very beginning that they were going to be together for all seasons. A creative soul, Sue wrote the whimsical poem that appears on the main card. To match, icons of each city were illustrated and meshed together to form the dreamscape and background.

As an ode to their love of travel, a supporting card featured a watercolour map with countries they had visited together marked out, with paths leading to Coimbatore, where the wedding was to be held. For ten special sets, the travel paths were embroidered with gold thread.

A custom timeline included cocktails, cake and Saptapadi, to represent the Hindu wedding ceremony. For a final touch, each envelope was lined with exclusively sourced Indian pattern paper.

“Rong designed and curated our wedding invitation. The invitation was so beautifully designed, capturing every small detail that we had discussed with her. She was so understanding and really managed to design it perfectly and quickly with zero fuss. The handmade threads in the invitation were a brilliant addition. All our guests loved the cards as well. Highly recommend her work if you are looking for unique, creative designs with super quality. Wishing her all the very best .”

Honor & Luke

Honor and Luke are globe trotters and were working and studying all over the world before deciding to head back and be married in their beautiful homeland New Zealand. Drawing inspiration from nature, Honor’s winning suggestion of using tussock grass, a distinctive type of tufted grass species native to the area, formed the cornerstone of their wedding stationery. Dreamy watercolour tussock grass illustrations were used for the invitations, menu, table numbers, gifts station sign, and order of service.

A little hidden design tidbit — when laid out, the supporting cards and main card formed two whole circles, signifying completeness and unity.

Candy & Alex

A simple and comical design was put together for this hilarious, fun-loving couple. All text on the main card was handwritten to contribute to the rustic look and feel of the wedding. Candy is represented by her favourite animal, the hippo, dolled up for the occasion with a bow, and Alex by a well-dressed tyrannosaurus (because Lex the T-Rex). The single-colour invitations were printed by fabulous The Fingersmith Letterpress in Singapore, and their images were put on the suite of wedding stationery prepared for the big day.

Alexis & Dennis

The wedding crest of Alexis and Dennis brims with symbolism. Hailing from different countries, Alexis is represented by the Ibong Adarna (a magical bird from a 16th-century Filipino epic poem) and Dennis by the Golden Eagle, the national bird of Germany. Santorini is sacred to the couple, where Dennis took the knee and Alexis happily agreed. Ethnically, the couple have Chinese roots and this is represented by the bridge and the temple on the sides of the crest, as well as the chosen colour scheme which resembles oriental blue and white pottery. The rest of the crest is constituted of swirling patterns likened to the ones painted on the inner walls of the Tremsbüttel Castle, where they were to be wed, and blooms of the sampaguita, the national flower of Philippines.

A thumbprint tree was prepared for the big day in the form of a bonsai. The happy couple have two adorable cats that adorn their “Thank You” cards.
