You loved me selflessly;

I didn't deserve it.

The past nipped; 

Our ankles.

Like rabid dogs. 


The miles between-

Long and winding.

Confused our path.


We got lost.

In the Woods, 

you stopped.


I am alone. 

In the stillness,

I remember you.
