I apologize. I've been quite terrible at updating this blog. With all that's been going on I haven't had time to fill this blog with pretty pictures of things I've done because I haven't done much art or vintage hunting in this period of interning as a law clerk and summer school. Pfft.
Finally though, J and I went down to scout out some vintage shops in Newtown and Enmore today. We made a new furry friend whose coat was imperial. The photo doesn't quite do it justice, but the contrast was beautiful. We also made two amazing purchases- A fully lined 1970s tan leather luggage with chrome buckles, and 1980s 1.8m carved wooden easel. We could hardly believe what a steal the easel was! The gentlemen who was selling it was adorable and comically told us of his previous vocation- a circus acrobat. That's the thing I love about Sydney- people are just so interesting. His shop is called the Itchy Kitty in Enmore, I'll definitely be back to see what he has next.
Overall it was quite a perfect day. I'm thinking of updating the easel with a paint job, but its a mammoth sand-paper task and I'm not sure if my hands are up to it. Hope everybody had an amazing Christmas, God bless :)
